DressUp Game Test
Heya!
Thanks for stopping by to look at the WIP for my little dress-up game framework.
It might not look like much at the moment with all the free/stock art assets and occasional programmer-art stand-in I've been using to build it out(Forgive my awful "music" and the orange-blob of a dialogue testing "character" in the corner), but before I go any further on development I'm hoping to find an artist who might like to see their art in a dressup-style game. I'd like to find someone who would also enjoy collaborating on the overall planning and design aspects of the game, like features and theme, and turn this into a team project we'd both be excited about! I'm really very open to doing a variety of styles or directions... I'd just like to collaborate on making something neat!
....Or alternately, if an artist would simply like to see their art turned into a basic dress-up game within the current framework as it is now and leave it at that, that's cool too; I could use some practice setting up different art in it and would be happy to make a custom build of the game for you with your own art, which you could then display/upload in your own gallery.
Theme-wise, I'd really prefer to go with a naughty or nsfw furry theme of some sort, but other than that I'm honestly open to (almost) anything in terms of character-species, genders, pre-existing or new characters/OCs, kinks, or non-kinkiness!
If that sounds like something you're interested in, feel free to add and contact me on Discord:

....Or, If you don't have Discord you can send me a note at one of the following sites, though it may take me a day or two to see it!
If you'd like a bit more info on the project, you can read below for some (overly-wordy)details about current game features, as well as some instructions and notes further down at the bottom of the page.

Current Features:
While I'd like to add more stuff to the framework in the future if there is any interest in the project, some of the currently implemented features include:
- Works with any type of "layered" character art: It doesn't just have to be alternate clothing! - Any piece of art with a bunch of aligned "alts" drawn on top of the base character pose on different layers should work. This includes things of any size and shape like alternate faces/expressions, tattoos, body parts, or really anything you can think of to stick to a character!
- Support for any number of clothing (or other) items: Custom categories can easily be defined for organizing items in the inventory for the player to browse.
- Customizeable layering system: Ensures that certain types of clothing/items will always draw above other types. (IE, alternate faces/heads will never appear on top of a hairstyle item and cause awkward visuals)
- Event-driven character dialogue system: Custom dialogue snippets can be added as responses to individual bits of clothing, allowing characters in the scene to make relevant comments as the player equips or removes them. This can be as simple as the dress-up character bantering with the player, or it can be adjusted so that one or more additional characters in the room are having a conversation.
Future Potential Features:
One of the things I'm most interested in is adding features that could help expand this into more of a truegame; Conventional dress-up games don't have much actual "game" to them and can often become stale rather quickly. One idea for that is to expand the basic dialogue system in the current framework to support some sort of responsive narrative, but anything else that could add some depth to keep players more engaged is certainly an option!

Play Instructions:
- To dress the character, Left-Click and Drag outfits from the outfit inventory out onto the field. Outfits will snap into place on the character if you drop them close enough to their intended positions.
- Scroll the inventory panel for more item categories.
- To put outfits away, Drag them back into the inventory. Alternately, you can Right-Click outfits to put them away instantly.
- Clicking on any outfit in the play area will bring it to the front and it will display on top of other outfits.
- In the top left there are three buttons: One to open the Settings menu, another to Reset the play field back to how it was at the start, and finally a Cleanup button to send any loose outfits back to the inventory while leaving any equipped outfits alone.
- "How do I turn off this awful music?!?" ....Sorry about that! it's something I cobbled together for testing purposes!; You can mute it by opening the previously mentioned settings menu and selecting the "Mute Music" checkbox!
Mobile Device Specific Instructions:
- For best results, set your mobile browser to "Desktop Mode" (Usually available under settings in the top-right of your browser's screen); The game may look fuzzy or blurry otherwise.
- Drag outfits with your finger from the inventory out onto the character.
- Drag items off of the character and back into the inventory window to put them away.
- Mobile-specific issues:
- May not function properly (or at all) on some older phones.
- Due to compatibility issues with WebGL over mobile browsers, audio will not function on mobile. (In the future I hope to put out standalone mobile builds as well which will avoid this issue entirely!)
